What a Typical Camp Day Looks Like
Every day of your camp follows the same simple rhythm — two coached sessions, with the rest of the day free to rest, explore, or dive.
Morning Surf Session (1.5 hours)
Your first coached session of the day, timed to catch the calmest conditions at Kata Beach. Your instructor works with you one-on-one or in your small group throughout.
Midday — Rest & Explore
Free time to recover, grab food nearby, or relax at your room — just steps from the SSS Phuket shop and Kata Beach itself.
Afternoon Surf Session (1.5 hours)
A second coached session to build on what you learned in the morning — same instructor, same board, continued progress.
Evening — Free Time
Unwind at the SSS Kata Bar & Café, swap stories with other surfers, or plan a dive or freediving trip for your next day off the board.

What's included in the surf camp price?
Every package includes accommodation, daily coached surf sessions (two 1.5-hour sessions per day), a surfboard, a rashguard, and photos & videos of your sessions.
Do I need any surfing experience to join?
No. Our surf camps welcome complete beginners as well as surfers looking to improve — Kata Beach's gentle, sandy-bottom waves make it one of the easiest places in Asia to learn.
Is the instruction private, or shared with other students?
You'll have either a private coach or a small group with just one other student — never a big class — so you get real, personal attention every session.
Can I get a private room, or do I need to share?
Both options are available. Solo travelers can enjoy the privacy of their own room, and groups or friends can share — we're flexible to suit your needs.
What's the minimum age for the surf camp?
There's no strict age cutoff, but because the camp includes overnight accommodation, it works best for older kids, teens, and adults. If you're considering it for a younger child, message us on WhatsApp first so we can make sure it's the right fit.
When is surf season at Kata Beach?
May to November, when swells from the Indian Ocean bring consistent waves suitable for both beginners and more experienced surfers.
What should I bring?
Swimwear, sunscreen, and a change of clothes. We provide the surfboard, rashguard, and all the equipment you'll need for your lessons.
Can I add scuba diving or freediving to my trip?
Yes — SSS Phuket also runs scuba diving, freediving, and snorkeling trips, so you can cool off and explore the underwater world before or after your surf camp.
Can I get a custom schedule instead of the standard packages?
Yes. If none of our standard packages fit your travel dates or goals, contact us on WhatsApp and we'll put together a custom schedule for you.
