The PADI Master Freediver is Level 4 of the PADI Freediving course. If you are already a PADI Advanced Freediver and you would like to up your freediving to an even higher level, the PADI Master Freediver is meant for you. Fine tune your techniques and this course would allow you to attain the elite level of freediving.

Through focussed training sessions in this course, you would be able to improve your static and dynamic apnea and your immersion skills.

Days Trip Itinerary | PADI Freediver Course Level 4

DAY 1 : Pool Session

  • 8:00 am – 10:30 am – Meeting at SSS Phuket for a briefing and theory session
  • 10:30 am – 13:00 pm – Head towards the pool for the practical session with your PADI Freediver monitor
  • 13:00 pm – 14:00 pm – Lunch Break
  • 14:00 pm – 16:00 pm – Theory and Practical examinations

DAY 2 : Open Water Session at Kata Beach

  • 8:30 am – Meeting Point at SSS Phuket. Coral reef diving at Kata Beach

DAY 3 : Open Water Session 2 at Kata Beach

  • 8:30 am – Meeting Point at SSS Phuket. Coral reef diving at Kata Beach

DAY 4 : Open Water Boat Trip to Racha Yai

Koh Racha Yai is the bigger of the two islands located at the South-east of Phuket. You would be able to find different types of coral, like the deer horn coral ( Acropora cervicornis) which is found in many zones.
Also you would be able to spot marine species like barracuda, tuna and the milkfish.
Discover the incredible dive sites Lucy, “Do little Do” and the mysterious Marla wreck which are homes to moray eels, scorpion fish and grouper.

  • 7h30 : Meeting at your hotel
  • 7:30am – Meeting at your hotel
  • 8:00am – 9:30 am – Make your way to the island of Phuket with breakfast on board the boat
  • 10:00am – First dive
  • 11:00am – Hot buffet lunch served on board. Time for some snorkeling and sun bathing after lunch.
  • 12:30pm – Second dive.
  • 13:30pm – Rest and relax. Enjoy fresh tropical fruit and soft drinks on the way back to Chalong Pier
  • 15:30pm – Back to Chalong Pier
  • 16:00 pm – Transfer back to hotel

DAY 5 : Open Water Boat Trip to Racha Yai

  • 7:30am – Meeting at your hotel
  • 8:00am – 9:30 am – Make your way to the island of Phuket with breakfast on board the boat
  • 10:00am – First dive
  • 11:00am – Hot buffet lunch served on board. Time for some snorkeling and sun bathing after lunch.
  • 12:30pm – Second dive.
  • 13:30pm – Rest and relax. Enjoy fresh tropical fruit and soft drinks on the way back to Chalong Pier
  • 15:30pm – Back to Chalong Pier
  • 16:00pm – Return to Hotel

Koh Racha Yai, is the largest of the two islands located off the Southeastern coast of Phuket.
Different kinds of corals can be spotted here with the Staghorn coral predominating in many areas. Marine life is rich and species such as Barracuda, Tuna and Milk Fish can be found in this area.

The better place for diving is located on the East coast along the hard coral reef where there are shipwrecks and good drifts.

There are several interesting dive sites around Koh Racha Yai including Lucy’s ReefReef “Do little Do” where Stonefish and Batfish may be chanced upon. Not forgetting Marla’s mystery, a wreck that became home to Morays, Groupers and Lionfish.

PADI Master Freediver | Program

The PADI Master Freediver course comprises of 3 main phases:

> Advanced methodologies in freediving namely in :

  • Knowledge development about nutrition, relaxation and advanced breathing techniques. You’ll study independently using the PADI Freediver Touch™ (or your instructor may conduct class sessions). You’ll also complete independent research as part of the Master Freediver Assignment.

  • Confined water session to improve static and dynamic apnea attempts, including a no fins dynamic apnea. Goal – static apnea of 3 minutes, 30 seconds and dynamic apnea of 70 metres/230 feet.

  • Open water sessions to practice mouthfill equalization and perform warm-up and workup dives for free immersion and constant weight freediving. Goal – constant weight freedive of 27 metres/90 feet.

You would be able to self study with the PADI Freediver Touch ( or your instructor would be able to organise classes). You would also be engaged in independent research during your PADI Master Freediver course.

> A practical session in a confined water area ( pool ) to improve and perfect your static and dynamic apnea, including dynamic apnea without fins . The goal would be static apnea of 3 minutes and 30 seconds and dynamic apnea of 70 meters/ 230 ft.

> Outdoor sessions to practise equalizing of mouth and to perform dives to warm up. You would also be working on free immersion and constant weight apnea. The objective for the constant weight apnea would be 27 meters/ 90 ft   

 

At the end of the PADI Master Freediver course, you would have attained the highest level in the leisure PADI Freediving course.

You would already be well equipped with a good competence of the techniques and of course an unforgettable experience during the training.

To enrol for the PADI Master Freediver, you need to fulfil the following requirements:

  • To be at least 18 years of age
  • Able to swim well
  • Physically fit
  • PADI Advanced Freediver certification ( or an equivalent from a recognised freediving organisation)
