In one of cinema’s most iconic scenes, Vincent Vega raises an eyebrow at the menu of Jack Rabbit Slim’s — a five dollar milkshake. Just vanilla ice cream and milk. How could something so simple cost so much?

That moment of disbelief, of unexpected sophistication hiding behind something familiar, is exactly what we bottled into this cocktail. It looks unassuming. It sounds straightforward. But the first sip tells you — yeah, it’s worth it. If you wonder, we tested it with Bourbon but it is best with Port.

A Tribute to the Godfather

Every bar has its legends. Ours has one in person. Le Parrain — The Godfather in French — is a cocktail made in honor of a man who needs no introduction in the world of cognac.

As the owner of one of the largest private cognac collections in the world, and a trusted palate called upon by the great houses to evaluate their finest expressions, he is someone who has tasted history, bottle by bottle. He is also my godfather.

He sits at the corner of the bar. Suit pressed, tie straight, glass never empty. Don Draper — the man who sold the American dream while quietly wrestling with his own — is perhaps television’s most iconic drinker.

Whiskey wasn’t just a habit for Don. It was a ritual. An armor. A punctuation mark at the end of every hard truth. We built him a cocktail worthy of Madison Avenue.

The bartender reaches for something stronger. Something legendary. The Wake Up Juice — so fierce, so violently restorative, it could pull a man back from the edge of unconsciousness and send him straight into tomorrow.

Some people have a drink that defines them. For Grandfather Robert, it was lemonade. Not occasionally. Not casually. Religiously. Growing up in Tunisia, under the North African sun, a cold glass of lemonade wasn’t just a refreshment — it was a way of life.

As the owner of this bar, I grew up watching him reach for that glass with the same quiet satisfaction every single time. Some memories live in photographs. Ours lives in a cocktail. Papy Robert is my grandfather’s lemonade, all grown up.

A Love Letter — For My Wife

凤凰于飞 — an ancient Chinese poetic expression meaning “the phoenix soars together.” One of the most beautiful metaphors in Chinese literature for a couple in perfect harmony. Two becoming one. Rising together.

Dedicated to my wife, a Chinese Singaporean woman whose grace and strength are the quiet backbone of everything we have built. Butterfly pea flower shifts the colour before your eyes — just like the best love stories do.

Few natural wonders capture the imagination quite like the Aurora Borealis — that breathtaking curtain of colour dancing across the Arctic sky. For those who grew up in the north, it is not just a spectacle. It is home. It is identity.

At SSS Kata Bar & Café, we are proud to be home to a vibrant Russian community. This cocktail is our warm welcome to every guest who carries the north in their heart. We wanted to put the Aurora in a glass. Every pour looks different. Just like the Aurora.
